Position Summary
The Senior Software Development Engineer-Java is responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic for web applications. They ensure seamless integration with front-end components, optimize application performance, and implement robust security measures.
What You Will Do
Develop scalable and efficient server-side applications using Java.
Design and implement APIs and data storage solutions.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
Document technical processes and codebase.
Required Qualifications
5+ years in Java programming
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Java programming and frameworks like Spring or Hibernate.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management.
Experience with version control tools like Git.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Knowledge of security protocols and performance optimization techniques.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent relevant work experience.
Certifications in Java development or related technologies (optional but beneficial).

The typical pay range for this role is:
$83,430.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
