Senior Quality Analyst

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the repeatable success of our promotion and program building activities. They have solid knowledge and experience with test plan and test case development, process auditing, test automation tools and techniques and quality methodologies. The candidate will have solid experience with testing web sites/applications in various browsers They possess excellent leadership and communication skills and have the proven ability to cross train and mentor other team members on testing and automation best practices. Senior Quality Assurance Specialists oversee quality and testing tasks assigned to the testing group, develop, assess and improve testing process, and measure and report on key quality metrics.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Training and mentoring others in the use of testing and QA tools and processes
• Participate in client calls as required
• Provide leadership to Quality team members, focusing on our core competencies of Testing, Automation and Usability
• Assist QA team members in remote offices, and provide them proper information/instructions to do their QA task
• Assist in data validation testing, and work with project leadership
• Monitor project compliance to process standards, guidelines, and requirements
• Will be expected to develop test plans, test cases and testing estimates
• Perform integration, functionality, system, regression, load and acceptance testing using manual methods and testing tools
• Continually search out new technologies and processes for automation testing and to improve QA functions
• Act as QA representative on project teams
• Verify that project documentation is sufficiently detailed to support development of QA materials
• Coordinate appropriate test environments, equipment, etc. as needed
• Perform database verification
• Perform business and functional requirements verification
• Detailed verification of product content and presentation
• Record all test results, and completely document defects and system errors
• Some administration of testing and QA tools

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in the following:
  • 2 Software test automation tool(s)
    • Formal software test methods and Quality Assurance programs
    • Preparation of formal test plans, test cases and bug reporting
    • Formal testing techniques such as regression, integration, load, usability, etc.
  • Web testing experience
  • SQL experience
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Meticulous nature; displaying a penchant for detail and precision
  • Exceptional teamwork skills
• Automation UI or API tools
  • Formal software test methods and Quality Assurance programs
  • Preparation of formal test plans, test cases and bug reporting
  • Formal testing techniques such as regression, integration, usability, etc.
  • Testing experience in latest desktop and mobile browsers
  • Testing experience on API and web applications
  • SQL experience via command line and/or GUI interface
• Knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, Java, Perl, JavaScript)
• Experience conducting or facilitating walkthroughs and inspections
• Agile / SCRUM Experience is a plus
• Linux and Windows knowledge
• Formal software testing training or certification
• Bachelor's Degree
