Ciklum is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer to design and build scalable, production-grade applications. This role requires strong backend expertise along with exposure to modern AI technologies, including Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Python and FastAPI
- Build and deploy scalable APIs and microservices for enterprise-grade applications
- Develop and integrate AI-driven solutions using Generative AI / Agentic AI frameworks
- Work with structured and semi-structured data using SQL databases and Databricks (Genie / NLQ)
- Collaborate with data engineers, AI teams, and frontend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and system design
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in FastAPI
- Experience working with SQL and at least one RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Genie / Natural Language Query (NLQ) capabilities
- Experience working with at least one cloud platform (AWS or Azure)
Solid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and backend best practices
Desirable:
- Experience building end-to-end applications using Generative AI or Agentic AI
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and AgentCore
- Frontend development experience using React.js and Tailwind CSS
- Understanding of MLOps, model deployment, and AI system scalability
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ownership-driven approach with attention to detail
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
