At Neptune, we want to give AI researchers the same level of control and confidence when training models as software developers have when shipping applications. Our solution is an experiment tracker built for teams that train foundational models. We’re one of the most recognisable tools in the MLOps industry, with over 60k AI researchers using the platform and 200k+ AI practitioners visiting our blog monthly.
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our fully remote team and help define the design and user experience of our platform. This is a role for a designer who thrives on autonomy and has a proven track record of delivering simple, clear UX solutions for sophisticated, very technical products.
As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our platform. You will collaborate closely with product, engineers, and technical users to create intuitive interfaces that simplify complex workflows. A deep understanding of technical personas is essential to excel in this role (i.e., previous experience designing for data scientists, engineers, etc.).
In this role, you will:
- Evolve UX and design strategy: Help drive our platform’s design vision, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
- Maintain and develop design system: Build, maintain, and evolve our component-based design system to ensure scalability and consistency across the platform. A componentized, sustainable design system is VERY important to us.
- Work with users: Work directly with technical users, like data scientists and engineers, to define solutions for complex features.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner closely with engineers to translate complex requirements into production-ready designs, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Iterate, iterate, iterate: Continuously refine designs based on feedback, focusing on clarity and actionable next steps to drive iterations to completion. We iterate everything at Neptune.
- Own your work: At Neptune, we take end-to-end ownership of design initiatives, from discovery to delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes with minimal oversight.
You might be a fit if you have:
- Experience: 5+ years of product design experience, preferably working on highly technical products for technical user personas.
- Technical Acumen: Comfort working on platforms targeting technical users, with familiarity in domains like AI, data science, or engineering tools.
- Design Systems Expertise: Demonstrated experience creating and managing component-based design systems for scalable, complex applications.
- User Research/Communication Skills: Strong ability to conduct yourself professionally with users and translate user insights into actionable design solutions.
- Excellent collaboration: Exceptional communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Thrive with autonomy: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and can manage their own projects with minimal supervision.
Nice to have:
- Experience designing for AI/ML platforms or similar technical domains.
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies and/or the development process to bridge the gap between design and development.
We offer:
- Flexibility: 100% remote work with offices (co-works) in Warsaw/Wrocław/Poznań/Kraków available and flexible working hours;
- Share in our success: Participate in the Employee Stock Option Plan and be part of our growth journey;
- Time off: 20 paid service-free days per year;
- Ownership and impact: Space to take action, bring your ideas to life, and make a real impact.
