Help us build the "System of Action" that supercharges global manufacturing teams. QAD is entering a high-velocity era to architect the world’s first AI-native, agentic ERP. We are moving beyond legacy "systems of record" to build an autonomous platform where humans and AI work as a tag team to redefine how factories operate. Join us at this pivotal moment to build our next generation platform, lead the next generation of the Adaptive Enterprise and turn global speed into strategy.
Job DescriptionIgnite Your Future:
Are you a visionary Sr. Principal Full-Stack Engineer (P5) ready to define and drive the technical strategy for an entire function, own complex, high-impact systems, and directly contribute to the future of intelligent manufacturing? Join QAD, where we are redefining the supply chain through our intelligent, adaptive platform—a single System of Action that connects people, processes, and data. As a Sr. Principal Software Engineer, you will be a key technical leader responsible for the architecture, governance, and delivery of our enterprise-scale SaaS products, operating with Champion Pace. You will be a recognized internal subject matter expert, focusing on providing thought leadership across the organization.
The Mission: What You'll Be Building
You will be the core driver in the conceptualization, design, development, and implementation of new, highly complex models and procedures. You will provide strategic technical direction, mentor senior and principal team members, and leverage broad expertise in highly specialized fields to develop solutions in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and Agile product development. You will be instrumental in building the next generation of our platform, which features core pillars like:
Adaptive Applications: The intelligent backbone powering the manufacturing enterprise.
Champion AI: Agentic AI for manufacturing that drives measurable productivity and growth.
Your Impact/ What you will be doing:
Architectural Ownership & Technical Direction: Apply broad expertise and knowledge in highly specialized fields to develop and resolve highly complex systems. Independently design, implement, and lead the development and testing of features, taking end-to-end ownership of critical, cross-functional components across modern frontend frameworks and robust backend services. Leads and contributes to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
Functional Problem Resolution: Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of intangibles. Proactively debug, diagnose, and resolve the most complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks across the stack with minimal to no guidance. Requires conceptual thinking to understand advanced issues and implications and apply this knowledge to system design.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Direct the application of existing principles and guide the development of new policies and ideas. Serve as a recognized internal subject matter expert to mentor engineers, lead complex cross-team code reviews, and set high quality and performance standards. May direct the activities of others.
Code for Scale & Efficiency: Optimize existing code and system architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability, translating complex product and technical requirements into clean, efficient, and working code.
Strategic Collaboration & Influence: Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups and engages in high-level cross-functional collaboration with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver world-class enterprise SaaS products. Requires conveying advanced information and persuading several diverse stakeholders/audiences to drive cross-organizational alignment and technical adoption.

Ownership & Quality: A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, demonstrating end-to-end responsibility for architectural components and their impact on the entire function.
Proactive Leader: Takes initiative to anticipate and address future needs, risks, or improvements without explicit direction, establishing new standards where necessary.
Quick Learner: Demonstrates a rapid capacity to grasp new technologies, complex systems, and development methodologies.
Qualifications & Next Steps
Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related professional software development experience; or 8 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
