Role Description
We’re seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (5–8 years experience) to join our elite remote development team. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our state-of-the-art conversational AI product in a fast-moving and high-velocity environment. We're looking for a hands-on, technically strong engineer who thrives on building robust, scalable cloud services to power enterprise-grade AI interactions.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and deploy ML models including recommendation systems and semantic/vector-based search engines.
Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including effective prompt engineering and integration with external knowledge bases.
Analyze structured and unstructured historical data to develop production-grade, data-driven algorithms.
Architect scalable APIs, background jobs, workflows, and data pipelines ensuring performance and reliability.
Collaborate with product managers, backend/frontend engineers, and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Refactor and optimize existing systems for performance, maintainability, and extensibility.
Write well-tested, modular code with strong emphasis on code quality, test coverage, and code reviews.
Stay current on emerging trends in AI/ML, LLMs, and cloud-native development.
Core Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on Python experience, with strong understanding of OOP and software engineering principles.
Deep experience with semantic and keyword-based search design, especially vector embedding techniques.
Proven experience building recommendation systems and personalization algorithms.
Proficiency in at least one Python web framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
Strong data analysis skills using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, etc.
Prior experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and prompt engineering for LLMs.
Familiarity with cloud-based ML deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience fine-tuning large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Mistral, LLaMA, etc.).
Exposure to agentic AI systems and multi-component pipelines (MCPs).
Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration tools.
Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) experience.
Prior experience in the job-candidate matching, HRTech, or staffing domain.
Agile development experience and strong communication skills.
