About Team:
Our team consists of three squads of engineers working on talent management and onboarding for over 2 million associates. We support mobile and web experiences across 19 countries, 4 platforms, 4 languages, and over 7 personas. We own our technology end to end, with dependencies across recruiting and core HR systems. We have a supportive and collaborative culture that promotes self-management, innovation, flexibility, continuous learning, and an inclusive environment.
What you'll do:
- Build, develop and guide a team of high-performing talent.
- Participate in technical design & reviews, PoCs.
- Be accountable for the engineering practices in the team like technical design, CI-CD, code quality, planning & delivering features
- Work with business stakeholders, architects, UX designers, product & program managers
- Work with global teams to deliver industry leading capabilities
- Able to identify & convey risks & issues to the leadership and help drive mitigate them.
- Raise the bar for the team on technology with predictable & consistent deliveries
- Good knowledge of Agile practices, Devops
- Partner with infrastructure teams
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience mentoring and leading teams
- Proven experience in building high-performance teams and scalable best-practices in SaaS/Online/Enterprise Product engineering organization
- Excellent logical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Distributed Systems Design for fault tolerance and high availability
- Experience in event based scalable async architecture
- Experience in Multi-threading for speeding up computations on multi-core processors
- Building for “as a service” model where components are multi-tenant, customizable and can be leveraged across Walmart’s business verticals
- Must have experience in cloud-native distributed application patterns and tools, micro-services architectures and web application frameworks (React, Java, Spring Boot, EDI, Kafka, NoSQL DB’s), application migrations to any cloud platform.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and design for high scale, availability, testability and extensibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
