This role involves leading operations, implementing reconciliation modules, ensuring compliance, preparing management reports, and conducting quality assurance reviews.
Description and Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
CA or CPA.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recognized as a high performing professional evidenced through a series of professional assignments characterized by the assumption of progressively increasing responsibility and ongoing career development.
2. Fundamental knowledge of auditing/quality assurance principles, with an emphasis in understanding appropriate source documentation. Conducts Quality Assurance reviews of reconciliations to ensure compliance with MetLife Policies.
3. Lead implementation and integration of ReconNET module with Cadency Certification Module for EMEA region (automate and optimize reconciliations).
4. Responsible for preparation and presentation of management reports with Regional Controllers
5. Administers policy guidance and leads reconciliation and related training sessions. Recommend and implement policy and recon procedure improvements.
6. Strong understanding and experience with controls and reconciliations; ability to quickly review and identify weaknesses in controls, and report and escalate appropriately to management.
7. Prepares issue findings for business managers and propose recommendations for changes as needed. Tracks and follows up on open issues and key business initiatives.
8. Monitor the Remediation Action Plans for all QA Review deficiencies to ensure reasonable progress is being made to complete the Action Plan by the designated Target Date.
9. Exhibits ability to build strong relationships with management at various levels to ensure, develop or implement better business practices.
10. Proficient understanding in project management functions. Experience serving as a project lead for projects spanning multiple countries/regions and business areas is a plus.
11. Demonstrates strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal, communications, prioritization & time management skills.
12. Ability to produce quality products in short time periods under pressure.
