Leads UKG application architecture and administration as the senior technical SME. Configures modules, workflows, security, integrations, reports, dashboards, testing, releases, and production support. Partners with HR, Payroll, IT, Security, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Troubleshoots integration failures, performs root cause analysis, supports governance and audit readiness, protects sensitive HR data, and drives documentation, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement.
Role Purpose
Leadership and Behavioral Competencies
- Act as the senior technical subject matter expert for UKG and translate HR requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise across UKG configuration, integrations, reporting, security, testing, releases, and production support.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Security, business stakeholders, UKG, and implementation vendors to support a reliable HR technology platform.
- Serve as the technical SME for UKG solutions and provide guidance on platform capabilities, technical standards, and solution design.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize UKG modules, business processes, workflows, security roles, permissions, and user access.
- Plan and support enhancements, releases, patches, upgrades, and technical regression activities.
- Maintain technical design documents, configuration records, operational procedures, and support knowledge.
- Design, develop, and support integrations between UKG and payroll, identity and access management, finance, service management, benefits, recruiting, learning, and other enterprise platforms.
- Use APIs, secure file transfer, middleware, and approved integration patterns to enable reliable data exchange.
- Troubleshoot integration failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive controls and monitoring.
- Maintain interface inventory, specifications, schedules, dependencies, ownership, and support documentation.
- Develop and maintain operational reports, dashboards, extracts, and data feeds for HR and leadership stakeholders.
- Support workforce metrics and collaborate with enterprise BI teams on governed reporting and analytics solutions.
- Ensure report logic, access, and distribution align with data security and privacy requirements.
- Provide technical input for UKG enhancements and releases, including solution design, configuration, testing, deployment support, and stabilization.
- Develop technical test scenarios, configuration validation steps, release checklists, and support documentation.
- Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, technical validation, and production deployment activities.
- Work collaboratively with UKG, implementation partners, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and maintain solution quality.
- Provide senior-level L2/L3 support for incidents, service requests, problems, and approved enhancements.
- Promote platform governance, configuration discipline, secure access, audit readiness, and change control.
- Drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement, knowledge transfer, and transition to business-as-usual support.
- Protect sensitive HR data and ensure technical activities follow organizational security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
AreaRequirement Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline. Overall Experience 8+ years of experience in HR technology, enterprise applications, system integration, or related areas. UKG Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience with UKG solutions, preferably UKG Pro and/or UKG Workforce Management. Technical Experience Demonstrated hands-on experience with UKG configuration, integrations, reporting, security, testing, releases, and production support.
