What’s the opportunity?
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will coordinate a delivery team building our world-class products whilst working alongside other Product, Design & Engineering (PEX) leads to determine the scope and timeline of our deliverables and maintain the health of our team culture.
You’ll join an enthusiastic and experienced team based out of India. You’ll work within our PEX leadership team to make sure our strategy and roadmaps are realistic, our priorities are properly planned and scheduled, and to help grow and manage our team of wonderful people.

Our product is written mainly in Java and ReactJS, and runs on AWS across multiple regions. We use tools like Docker and Buildkite and deploy our systems and monitor our technology using CloudWatch, New Relic and SquadCast. We’re looking for someone to help us evolve our systems of work while we grow our team and capability.
What will I be doing?
- Creating change in a complex system. Facilitate the delivery of Performio products and features, making sure delivery teams have clear objectives along with a clear runway to make them reality.
- Planning holistically, delivering iteratively. Help our streams break down work into small, intelligently planned increments for delivery, while keeping out long term goals top of mind.
- Hire for and grow an exceptional team. Consciously evolve our capability by adding new people to the team whilst fostering diversity and upholding organizational values.
- Managing, coaching and mentoring. Thoughtfully lead the team around you and assist with career development of people on our teams. This is a line management role where you can help people succeed.
- Measure and learn. Define, track and improve on our core delivery metrics.
What we’re looking for
- At least 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager or similar delivery role
- At least 10 years experience in the technology industry
- Experience delivering products/features within complex systems, preferably in a B2B or enterprise context
- Demonstrated understanding of product delivery methodologies and process improvement techniques
- Experience working on technical leadership teams involved in roadmap planning, hiring and staff capacity planning
- Highly effective at communicating, and comfortable facilitating planning meetings amongst engineers, product managers, and other team members
- Desire to challenge the status quo and maturity to know when to compromise
- Respect for and ability to influence team members from all disciplines and at all levels throughout the business
