Open Stack Platform Operation Engineer
Position overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Kubernetes Administrator to manage, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in a dynamic, high-availability environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration, along with strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of DevOps principles. This role will involve working closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-premises or cloud-based).
- Ensure the high availability, scalability, and reliability of Kubernetes environments.
- Perform upgrades and patch management for Kubernetes and its associated components.
- Manage and troubleshoot deployments using Helm charts, manifests, or other CI/CD tools.
- Monitor and optimize Kubernetes resources, such as pods, nodes, and namespaces.
- Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
- Work with the security team to ensure container and cluster compliance with organizational policies.
- Identify and resolve Kubernetes-related issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical guidance and support to developers and DevOps teams.
- Maintain detailed documentation of Kubernetes configurations and operational processes.
- Train team members on Kubernetes-related tools and practices as needed.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to optimally communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical partners
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters using tools such as `kubectl`, Helm, or Kustomize.
- In-depth knowledge of container technologies, including Docker.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes services (EKS, GKE, AKS).
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Knowledge of centralized logging systems like Fluentd, Logstash, or Loki.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Minimal 5+ years of working experience with Kubernetes
