ROLE:
The Editorial Senior works with the local Editorial team, supporting their team to produce the database for the Australian market. They will often act as a replacement for the team lead on a day-to-day basis.
The Senior Editor, Editorial, is expected to coordinate and lead the workflow of the editorial team, providing effective guidance on a daily basis. You will develop a deep understanding of global systems and assume responsibility for supervising and providing workflow support to team members regularly.
As a Senior Editor, you will serve as the primary contact for the editorial team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Editors research, gather and process TV series and movies from studios, distributors, websites and related sources in a timely and accurate manner for entry into an internal database. Communication with broadcasters, content providers and other internal teams will be expected in order to meet editorial requirements promptly and accurately.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Editorial team lead, overseeing the Editorial Workflow and assignments for the market.
Support the Editorial Team in the processing and creation of the database, into our data management system.
Resolve and investigate workflow efficiencies and issues with team lead.
Run quality check reports and uphold editorial standards by overseeing the accuracy of the content entered into the database.
Coordinate to create and maintain wiki documentation.
Often will be a key member in projects to improve efficiency of tools and workflows prior to their implementation within the greater team to test, provide feedback and document.
Represent Gracenote to international Gracenote teams, external clients and stakeholders.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
A thorough understanding of metadata and its applications.
Possesses proficiency in English writing and speaking skills.
Good understanding of the global content market. Experience using database content management systems.
Proactive approach to implementing workflow efficiencies. Strong client service orientation and excellent communication skills.
Interest in and working knowledge of the local, national and international TV scene.
Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening, night and weekend shifts.
The role is hybrid, so you must live near Nielsen’s office.
Hybrid Workers are those employees who are working partially from home which is in the same city as the Nielsen office they are employed with and partially from a Nielsen office / site
