Overview of The Role
As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, outstanding problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
It also entails mentoring junior developers to support their development and contribute to overall team success.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand the business requirements thoroughly to ensure the developed software aligns with the needs of stakeholders.
- Build robust and scalable applications using Python and integrate services seamlessly through RESTful APIs.
- Develop and implement micro-services architecture for modular and maintainable software
- Independently translate requirements into low-level technical designs.
- Actively participate in solution analysis meetings and technical discussions.
- Review code to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and communicate risks and issues, proposing resolutions to project leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reliable and high-performance software solutions.
- Provide mentorship to the team, help them grow in their technical responsibilities, and remove roadblocks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Python development with strong knowledge of Python programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Proficiency in FastAPI, Django, or Flask, with experience in developing microservices-based applications and designing RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, Low-Level Design (LLD), design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and application performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; exposure to MongoDB is an added advantage.
- Experience in conducting code reviews, debugging complex issues, troubleshooting applications, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, RabbitMQ/Kafka, Agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration with Frontend and DevOps teams.
- Excellent communication skills with strong analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities.
