We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient platforms across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will partner with product, engineering, security, and operations teams to translate business needs into reference architectures, standards, and implementable designs that accelerate delivery and improve reliability.
This role is accountable for cloud architecture governance, design assurance, and technical leadership across cloud modernization initiatives (new builds, migrations, and hybrid integration). You will define target-state architectures, guide delivery teams, and ensure solutions meet requirements for security, compliance, performance, and operational excellence.
- Design target-state cloud and hybrid architectures (networking, identity, security, compute, storage, observability) aligned to business and product roadmaps.
- Own architecture standards, reference patterns, and governance (reviews, decision records, guardrails) across Azure/AWS/GCP.
- Lead solution design for cloud migrations and modernization from on-premises/VMware environments, including dependency mapping and cutover approach.
- Implement and coach teams on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep/ARM, CloudFormation) and reusable automation modules.
- Define non-functional requirements (availability, resiliency, DR, RTO/RPO, performance, scalability) and validate designs against them.
- Architect security controls: IAM, encryption/key management, network segmentation, secrets management, and policy-as-code; ensure compliance alignment (e.g., GDPR/HIPAA where applicable).
- Establish observability and SRE practices: monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and operational runbooks (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Google Cloud Operations).
- Drive cost management and performance optimization using FinOps practices (tagging, budgets, rightsizing, commitments, chargeback/showback).
- Partner with engineering and operations to enable CI/CD and platform capabilities (containers, Kubernetes, API integration) and ensure smooth handover to run teams.
- Communicate architecture options, tradeoffs, and risk clearly to stakeholders; influence decisions through concise documentation and executive-ready narratives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (serverless, edge, AI/ML services) and lead proofs of concept from hypothesis to measurable outcomes.
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred) with 8–12+ years of experience in infrastructure/platform engineering or architecture, including 4–6+ years designing and delivering cloud solutions.
- Hands-on design experience in at least two of Azure/AWS/GCP, with ability to compare services and choose fit-for-purpose patterns.
- Strong knowledge of networking (VPC/VNet, routing, DNS, load balancing), identity/IAM, security controls, and enterprise integration.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE), plus related ecosystem tooling (ingress, service mesh, secrets, registries).
- Terraform and at least one native IaC tool (Bicep/ARM, CloudFormation); scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash) preferred.
- CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub) and ability to establish secure, repeatable delivery pipelines.
- Experience with observability, incident/problem management, and designing for resiliency (DR, backups, HA).
- Strong stakeholder management; able to explain tradeoffs, write clear architecture docs, and influence cross-functional teams and Familiarity with Agile delivery and ITIL/Service Management concepts.
Nice-To-Have:
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
