POSITION OVERVIEWThe Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing tax compliance and reporting activities under the guidance of the Senior Tax Manager. This role prepares tax returns, tax payments, reconciliations, and related reports, while maintaining the company’s tax database and supporting tax-related filings and audits. The Senior Tax Accountant also coordinates with tax consultants and relevant tax authorities, and partners closely with finance and accounting teams across the organization.
This position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail. As the company operates globally, the individual in this role may be required to work U.S. Eastern Time hours during critical compliance periods. All work will be performed remotely.
WHAT YOU’LL DOKey Responsibilities
- Prepare U.S. and Canada sales and use tax returns, foreign VAT/GST returns for Europe and APAC regions
- Prepare GST workings, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, and related reconciliations
- Assistance in advance income tax computation and payment workings
- Prepare monthly sales tax reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities
- Maintain the tax compliance calendar and monitor filing and payment deadlines
- Prepare property tax returns
- Support India tax and regulatory compliance activities, including GST, TDS, RBI, and statutory filings
- Assist with intercompany transactions, export documentation, and other operational tax matters
- Support accounting activities related to prepaid expenses, fixed assets, reconciliations, and statutory reporting
- Assist with tax audits, transfer pricing audits, and responses to tax authority notices
- Coordinate with auditors, regulatory authorities, and internal finance teams on compliance-related matters
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to sales and use tax compliance

WHAT YOU’VE DONEREQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent additional years of experience
- 3+ years of experience in tax compliance
PREFERRED
- Chartered Accountant Inter with working knowledge of accounting processes and the ability to identify tax issues
- Experience with U.S. and Canada sales and use tax return filings
- Experience preparing and reconciling sales tax accounts and supporting month-end sales tax reconciliations
- Curiosity and openness to learning new systems, processes, and technical tax concepts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Effective time management skills, especially during high-pressure filing periods
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with global teams
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements in tax workflows
- Familiarity with tax software and systems used for preparing returns, filings, and reports
