Title: Senior Analyst – Sr. Associate Content Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Senior Associate Content Configuration Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing content solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) core systems. This role involves interpreting and translating industry standards and requirements into precise configuration specifications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within our Agile framework. The engineer will handle tasks ranging from low to medium complexity, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our core systems processing.

  • Configure content solutions for Agile stories of low to medium complexity, under the guidance of a senior Content Engineer

  • Interpret and translate rules and requirements from standards organizations such as ISO, NCCI, and AAIS into precise configuration specifications.

  • Debug and resolve configuration issues of low to moderate complexity, ensuring root causes are addressed and fixes are implemented without collateral damage, with direction from senior Content Engineers

  • Write automated unit and integration-level tests, collaborating with other team members

  • Adhere to development standards and effectively demonstrate content solutions during code reviews with other Content Engineers

  • Perform basic source code management tasks as directed by senior Content Engineers

  • Undertake other related duties and activities as required

WHAT YOU'VE DONE: 

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree; preferred in Mathematics, Computer Information Sciences or Business; related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.

Minimum 3 years related industry experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:

  • Proficient in:

    • XML/XSLT Document Design

    • XPath Querying

    • Communicating well within a team environment

    • Use of analytical thinking to break down and work through situations or problems

    • Configuring high-performance code

    • Insurance Domain Knowledge

    • Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance Lines of Business (Commercial Auto, General Liability, etc.)

    • Utilizing Content Development Standards & Best Practices

    • Ability to estimate implementing efforts

    • Source Code Management

    • Knowledge of Relational Database Designs & Queries

    • Understanding of Agile Methodology

    • Ability to apply Root Cause Analysis during the development cycle

    • Ability to manage time to effectively meet deadlines
