Role SummaryWe are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Salesforce Data Steward to join our team! This individual will oversee and uphold the quality, accuracy, and usability of data within our Salesforce platform. This role is critical as it establishes and monitors data governance policies within Salesforce, ensuring responsible and ethical data use.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative mindset when engaging with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, Salesforce admins/developers, and external partners, to manage, enforce, and continuously enhance Salesforce data quality and usability.

THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Data Quality and Governance
- Enforce Data Quality & Consistency: Own data governance, quality, and stewardship for Sales Cloud. Implement and enforce standards to ensure data is accurate and consistent across processes.
- Implement Governance & Security: Deploy and monitor data governance policies. Play a key role in data security by controlling access, implementing protective measures, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Optimize Schema: Assist with data modelling to design and optimize the Salesforce schema for effective data management and long-term utility.
2. Data Strategy and Operations
- Manage Data Lifecycle: Oversee data management from creation to archiving/deletion, ensuring data is stored, accessed, and used appropriately.
- Collaborate on Integrations: Work closely with integration teams (e.g., Introhive, MCAE, NZC) to maintain governed data flows and integrity across all connected platforms.
- Optimize License Usage: Monitor Salesforce license activity and collaborate with IT to strategically optimize license allocation based on role and activity.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration and Enablement
- Business Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison for data initiatives, translating commercial data requirements into clear, actionable tasks.
- Communicate & Report: Effectively convey data quality metrics, associated risks, and remediation plans to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Project Facilitation: Assist with sprint planning by providing data-focused user stories to ensure governance procedures and data workflows are timely enhanced.
- Required Experience: 5+ years Salesforce Sales Cloud with a focus on data stewardship, governance, enrichment, and quality management.
- Bonus: Experience with MCAE, Net Zero Cloud, Validity’s DemandTools, Azure DevOps and various enrichment tools.
- Required certifications: Salesforce Platform Administrator
- Bonus certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Data Architect, Salesforce Certified Platform Sharing, Visibility Architect, Salesforce Platform Administrator II and Salesforce Platform App Builder.
Salesforce Specific Skills
- Proven experience in a Salesforce administrator, data steward or CRM data management role, preferably within a commercial or sales operations setting.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data architecture, object relationships, and the impact of integrations on data integrity and usability.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing Salesforce data elements such as custom objects, fields, validation rules, record types, and flows, with a focus on data accuracy, standardization, and compliance.
- Experience in analyzing Salesforce license utilization to identify inactive or misaligned users and partnering with Sales Ops and IT to ensure optimal allocation aligned with user roles, system activity, and data stewardship requirements.
- Preferred experience with tools such as Introhive (relationship intelligence and contact enrichment), Validity (data cleansing and monitoring), familiarity with MCAE / Pardot (marketing automation and lead management) and Net Zero Cloud.
2. Data Management Skills
- Proficiency with data migration, cleansing, and enrichment tools and processes.
- Knowledge of master data management (MDM) principles, duplicate management strategies, and winning record logic for enrichment workflows.
- Experience establishing and monitoring data quality metrics and dashboards to proactively identify and remediate data issues.
- Familiarity with data compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and applying privacy-by-design principles in CRM data management.
3. Other Skills
- Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies, contributing to sprint cycles through data-centric user stories, backlog grooming, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data quality initiatives to revenue enablement, pipeline visibility, and sales productivity.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to clearly articulate data issues, translate technical concepts into business language, and align initiatives with broader commercial goals.
- Comfortable working across global time zones and collaborating with distributed teams, including IT, commercial operations, and third-party vendors.
