The Job:
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will own and evolve our automated testing strategy across web applications, APIs, and AI-powered systems. This is a hands-on, senior-level role for someone who has built automation solutions at scale and understands how quality engineering fits into modern CI/CD pipelines and AI-driven platforms.
You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps to ensure fast, reliable, and meaningful test feedback throughout the SDLC.
The ideal candidate has a strong software development foundation, experience using and building reliable and scalable automation testing frameworks, incredible attention to detail and a passion for the discipline of software validation.
You need to love wearing multiple hats, getting your hands dirty and power through crunch periods
Responsibilities summary:
- Design, build, and maintain robust E2E automation frameworks for complex web applications
- Lead automation efforts using Cypress and/or Playwright (experience with both is strongly preferred)
- Architect automated test solutions from scratch, not just extending existing frameworks
- Build and maintain API automation suites (Postman/REST/GraphQL)
- Integrate automated tests deeply into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
- Ensure automation runs are stable, parallelized, fast, and reliable
- Define automation best practices, standards, and quality metrics
- Automate testing for AI-based features, including:
- AI agents and workflows
- Model-driven decision logic
- Prompt-based systems and non-deterministic outputs - Collaborate with DevOps to optimize execution across environments
- Mentor other engineers on automation strategy and implementation
Who You Are:
Must-Have- 7+ years of Quality Engineering experience
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency
- Cypress OR Playwright (must-have; both preferred)
- Proven experience designing automation frameworks from scratch
- CI/CD expertise, including: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI or similar
- Test orchestration, parallel execution, and reporting
- Strong API automation experience (Postman, RestAssured, or similar)
- Experience testing AI-powered systems, including AI agents
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum QA practices
- Performance testing experience (JMeter, k6, etc.)
- Experience with observability/logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk)
- Experience validating ML outputs, LLM workflows, or prompt testing
- Cloud-based test execution strategies
