The Role & What You Will Be Doing 

The Quality Control Lab Compliance and Continuous Improvement Supervisor will primarily focus on ensuring that laboratory operations meet regulatory standards and high-quality outputs. This person is also responsible for using Lean principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. This role is involved in planning, scheduling, and implementing continuous improvement activities (such as Kaizen) in the Quality Control Laboratory:

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Quality Control Lab Compliance and Continuous Improvement Supervisor role will make an impact:

  • Oversee laboratory processes and workflows to ensure they meet quality and compliance standards.

  • Review equipment logbooks, audit trails, preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment.

  • Investigate and resolve any compliance issues which arise in the laboratories including LIR, Invalids and QIA. Initiate change controls and implement CAPA as needed.

  • Perform regular audits and inspections of laboratory practices and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure that the laboratory complies with all relevant laws and standards.

  • Review and analyze data related to lab operations and compliance to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports on lab compliance activities including data integrity and present findings in department and global meetings.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction.

  • Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement projects using Lean tools.

  • Working to continuously improve processes in the quality control Lab by collaborating with cross functional teams.

  • Participate in department projects, as assigned by QC Manager.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Strong working knowledge of chemistry / biochemistry (chromatographic, wet chemistry and peptide analysis) techniques. Strong technical writing skills.

  • Previous HPLC/GC experience in method validation / transfer (preferably with Empower software) is essential.

  • Experience in investigation and audit in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Extensive years of relevant industrial experience

  • Computer skills (MS Office, Trackwise, Minitab, LIMS).

  • Must possess the following skills and abilities.

  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong technical writing skills

  • Communication skills both verbal & written with good time management skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
