The Quality Assurance Analyst will perform various testing and debugging tasks, estimate, plan, and implement testing projects, develop testing procedures, define test objectives, conduct different types of tests, and provide guidance to junior staff. They will also support QA responsibilities and assist with installation issues.
- Performs moderately complex testing and de-bugging tasks according to company's QA process.
- Estimates, plans, schedules, and implements testing projects. Leads multiple moderately complex projects and/or projects requiring multiple QA Analysts. Identify and assign resources for projects under the guidance of QA Manager. Provides project status reports.
- Designs and develops quality testing procedures; updates and modifies existing tests as necessary. Identifies and implements process improvements.
- Defines test objectives and writes test cases. Provides guidance on test cases for less senior staff and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Performs moderately complex functional, application, regression and performance tests. Identifies testing environment needs for projects and coordinates the establishment of the environments.
- Plans and implements automated testing for moderately complex projects.
- Provides support for auxiliary QA responsibilities:
- Review product documentation for completeness and correctness.
- Participate in metrics collection and reporting.
- Provide guidance and support for other QA Analysts.
- Assists product developers and technical product support specialists in solution of moderately complex installation problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
