Design and run load tests for web/REST APIs, embed performance tests into CI/CD, analyze complex workloads to find bottlenecks, tune Node.js and Java servers, use JMeter/SiteSpeed and APM/log tools (ELK, Grafana, AppDynamics), perform Linux-based analysis with shell scripting, and produce performance metrics for management.
Role And Responsibilities
• Create load-testing scripts for web/REST API applications.
- Embed performance tests in CI-CD pipeline and automate the performance testing process.
- Conduct tests with complex workloads and data shapes to identify bottlenecks and failure points.
- Tune node js and JAVA servers parameters for optimal performance.
- Utilize testing tools such as JMeter, site speed, Grafana for VMs/k8 and client performance.
- Work with APM/log monitoring tools like ELK, Grafana and AppDynamics.
- Generate insightful performance metrics for management review.
- Analysing and identifying performance bottlenecks of applications deployed in Linux servers using Linux commands/Shell scripting is a must.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in performance engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of Java/JavaScript, web framework architectures, and system performance.
- Understanding of SDLCs, CI/CD, and test-driven mindset.
