About the Role:

We're looking for a talented Automation QA Engineer to join our Hunch team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring high product quality by developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks for mobile and API testing. If you enjoy building test solutions, breaking software, and collaborating with a fast-paced team, this is the opportunity for you!

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile/flutter applications using Appium/Patrol.
• Create and execute automated test cases for REST API testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify test scenarios and integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Investigate, report, and track defects through their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution.
• Participate in reviews of requirements, designs, and code to contribute to quality assurance strategies.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide clear insights into software quality. 

Who You Are:

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Manual and automation testing, specifically for mobile apps using Appium.
• 1-2 years of experience in manual testing 
• Experience in automating and validating REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test automation frameworks, and software testing tools.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and suggest solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of manual testing to complement automation efforts.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
