Job Description
Project Engineer - Mechanical
Pune-India
As a Project Engineer-Mechanical. You will be part of a dynamic engineering team based in Noida/Pune, working on the MV/LV Motor Control Centres (MCCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), utilizing the Creo and CAD tools. Your day will involve collaborating with global engineers, Program managers, data leads - executing automation projects across various industries, and ensuring high-quality delivery with great customer satisfaction. You will report to the Team lead and It’s a hybrid work environment working in 12:00pm to 9:00 pm shift located in Pune/Noida - India.
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver & execute the assigned projects on time with good quality / cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction
Work with Internal and External stakeholders to review requirements that comply with Mechanical standards and Rockwell Automation’s engineering practices, ensuring successful project outcomes ensure successful project outcomes.
Serve as a technical expert for MV/LV products, providing robust technical solutions, addressing queries, and ensuring smooth information flow across stakeholders
Work with Team Leader/Sr. Engineer to clarify technical issues and work package execution.
Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team's capabilities.
Provide guidance to engineers when required. Train and onboard new engineers to the team.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience of CREO, ACAD, and SAP/PLM.
Project lifecycle exposure, from initial design through to final.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to present solutions to the stakeholders and coordinate development tasks with team members.
Support Team Leader in managing team performance, develop self and team capability and motivate the team.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Knowledge of CREO, ACAD, and SAP/PLM Software’s.
Working knowledge of Rockwell products.
Knowledge of modeling and drafting plastic products, casting components and Sheetmetal components
Knowledge of advanced Creo like Creo cabling, Creo customizations, Creo simulation
Knowledge of design calculations like Tolerance stack-up etc.
In depth, knowledge of mechanical design of different types of enclosures (GA/Layout design).
Awareness of electrical design standards like NEC, NEMA, UL and IEC codes.
Should have gone through complete project life cycle from design phase to final product.
Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodology.
