Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GUDM) is implementing CITIIS 2.0, a flagship programme under the Smart Cities Mission, focused on supporting State and City Climate Action Plans, climate governance reforms, CSCAF 2.0 monitoring, and climate budgeting across Gujarat. The programme involves close coordination with Municipal Corporations, state departments, and national agencies, with progress linked to milestone- and tranche-based performance indicators.
The Project Coordinator will support day-to-day implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of climate action initiatives under CITIIS 2.0. The role requires close engagement with GUDM, Urban Development Department, Municipal Corporations, and national stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of activities and compliance with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day coordination and implementation of CITIIS 2.0 and climate-related activities
Coordinate with Municipal Corporations, state departments, S‑C3, and NIUA/CITIIS PMU
Track progress against work plans, milestones, and deliverables
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports
Support data collection and follow-up for CSCAF 2.0 indicators and the State Climate Data Platform (SCDP)
Maintain trackers, records, and project documentation
Support organisation of meetings, reviews, workshops, and field visits
Assist in preparation of presentations, technical notes, and compliance checklists
Educational Qualifications
Graduate degree in:
Urban Planning
Public Policy
Engineering
Environmental Studies / Environment
(or equivalent)
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in:
Project or programme coordination
Urban development missions, climate programmes, or government projects
Experience working with state government, ULBs, PMUs, or consulting teams preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong coordination and follow-up skills
Ability to work with multiple government stakeholders
Good documentation and reporting skills
Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Language Requirements
English - Mandatory
Gujarati - Desirable
