What You'll Do
Strategic Project Delivery in a Matrixed Environment
Manage the implementation of post-merger fusion programs in harmony with the blueprint and overarching strategic objectives.
Operate across a highly matrixed, international structure, balancing regional, functional, and corporate priorities.Provide senior-level strategic direction to ensure the detailed integration of acquired entities into Amex GBT’s operating model.
Define and handle the engagement of in-country Project Managers based on integration phasing and blueprint scope, while encouraging a high-performing and cross cultural teams.
Senior Risk and Issue Management
Foresee, pinpoint, and handle impactful business risks, issues, activities, and decisions (RAID) with foresight.
Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks to safeguard programme success across cross cultural environment. Executive Reporting and Governance. Prepare and present comprehensive, insightful progress updates to the Integration Steering Committee and senior leadership.
Ensure high-impact, visible communication with executive customers, flagging critical risks, dependencies, and successes.
Complex Project and Dependency Management
Collobrate the inter-dependencies across multiple workstreams, business units, and geographies to drive cohesion and timely delivery. Ensure exact adherence to the integration blueprint, guaranteeing that world wide initiatives' progress within the specified parameters and schedule
Transition Management and Business Readines. Define clear transition and exit criteria to enable a structured handover to business leadership. Partner with functional and regional leaders to ensure operational readiness and long-term value realisation post-integration.
High-Level Customer Engagement
Engage with senior executives, business leaders, and external customers to secure alignment, sponsorship, and momentum.
Act as the senior integration representative and trusted advisor across GBT’s leadership community
Continuous Improvement and Strategic Learning. Drive continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned and guidelines into future integration planning. Give thought leadership to elevate integration, value bring together and strategic collaboration.
What We're Looking For
Candidate with an experience of 8 -12 years and holds a Bachelor’s degree level qualification/experience, with preference given to subjects such as Business, Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience in Management.
Preferably candidates will hold a recognized project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent.
It is important for this role that successful candidates have a confirmed background of Post-Merger Integration experience and large-scale business transformation programmes or a Finance systems implementation (ERP, EPM, CPM), ideally across multiple geographies, functions, and cultures. Ideally including a consistent record of delivering measurable results across multiple geographies and functions.
Candidates will possess Project management standard Knowledge, showcasing a solid grasp of industry-standard post-merger integration frameworks, tools, and methodologies, emphasizing continuous improvement and value realization.
Preferred candidates will have strong Strategic and Operational Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and influence diverse, cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization. Skilled in aligning local execution with global strategic objectives.
Successful candidates will have advanced Risk and Issue Management, with excellent problem-solving, risk mitigation, and decision-making capabilities—able to navigate ambiguity and handle complicated priorities effectively.
Prefer candidates with proven expertise in Project and Programme Management, adept at planning and delivering projects successfully within set constraints.
