Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of 5-8 product designers
- Set team goals, OKRs, and success metrics aligned with business objectives
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career planning
- Establish and optimise design processes and workflows
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and other design leaders
- Manage team capacity and project allocation
- Build team culture and foster psychological safety
- Advocate for design resources and tooling needs
- Drive design quality through critique and review processes
- Handle performance management and difficult conversations
- Contribute to organisational design strategy and operations
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of product design experience
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Proven track record of building and scaling design teams
- Strong operational and process-oriented mindset
- Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
- Ability to context-switch between strategic and tactical work
- Experience managing through organisational change
