The Project Procurement Manager will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of materials, equipment, and services for all project-related activities. The role involves vendor development, strategic sourcing, negotiation, order finalization, logistics, and import coordination to ensure timely availability of materials and services at optimal cost, quality, and compliance with project timelines. This position will work very closely with Project Management to ensure on time ordering and delivering.

What you will doProject Procurement Management- Manage procurement of mechanical, electrical, civil, and specialized project items in line with project requirements.
- Develop and track procurement schedules aligned with project execution and milestone plans.
- Coordinate closely with project, engineering, planning, and finance teams to ensure seamless procurement execution.
- Support project teams in resolving supply-related risks and delays.
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors/OEMs for key project categories including:
- HVAC systems, DG sets and power equipment, Chillers, Laboratory equipment, PEB structures, Civil and construction materials.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations to secure best value, delivery, and warranty terms.
- Maintain vendor performance metrics and support supplier evaluations and audits as required.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with critical suppliers and EPC partners.
Import & Logistics Coordination
- Manage import procurement activities, including documentation, LC management, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with Clearing House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Ensure timely shipment, customs clearance, and inland transportation of imported materials.
- Monitor risks related to lead times, duties, and regulatory changes.
- Purchase Order & Documentation Management
- Prepare and release purchase orders and contracts, ensuring accuracy in scope, quantities, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Obtain and coordinate technical and commercial approvals from internal stakeholders.
- Maintain complete and updated procurement documentation in line with company policies and audit requirements.
- Track order execution, supplier commitments, and closure of contracts.
Cost Optimization & Process Improvement
- Support cost benchmarking, value engineering, and alternate sourcing initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, controls, and transparency.
- Leverage ERP systems and data analytics to enhance procurement efficiency and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing and governance standards.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil preferred).
- 8–12 years of experience in project procurement, preferably in large-scale or high-value engineering projects.
- Proven experience working with OEMs, EPC contractors, and specialized suppliers.
- Strong exposure to procurement of:
- HVAC systems, Clean Rooms, Chillers, PEB Structures, Civil Works and or Laboratory Equipment.
- Hands-on experience in imports, customs documentation, LC management, and logistics coordination.
- Sound understanding of commercial terms, contracts, and project procurement practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or equivalent) and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight project timelines.
