The Pricing Support Specialist collects and analyzes pricing data, supports pricing model development, prepares reports, collaborates on proposals, builds pricing tools, audits projects for pricing compliance, and engages in stakeholder communication.
Pricing Analysis & Support
- Assist in collecting and analyzing pricing data, including competitor rates, market trends, and historical engagement data.
- Support the development and maintenance of pricing models for various service lines and project types.
- Prepare pricing reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct scenario planning and margin simulations to support winning proposals.
Proposal & Deal Support
- Collaborate with proposal managers, finance, and business leaders to develop pricing for RFPs, Framework Agreements, and renewals.
- Escalate decisions based on pricing governance, including bid approvals, exception management, and pricing risk reviews.
Financial Modelling
- Build and maintain pricing tools for project forecasting, rate sensitivity, and profitability analysis.
- Benchmark pricing against data sets including industry norms and internal historical data.
Internal Auditing
- Regularly audit ongoing projects for compliance with pricing as set at the proposal stage, including any custom rate cards.
Influence And Decision-Making Authority
Operates collaboratively within a team under a Global Pricing Manager. Will interact with other Regional senior leadership, Industry and Service Line teams and Partners in the business to execute pricing strategies.
Job Requirements & Capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or commercial operations within a professional services or consulting firm.
- Familiarity with pricing strategies, market analysis, and proposal support.
- Experience with CRM and proposal management tools is beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Job specific capabilities/skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel and pricing software.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
