Power BI Developer (Offshore)

Job Overview:
All Generation Tech is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer (Offshore) to support one of our global consulting clients. In this role, you will partner closely with the client’s Power BI Lead to deliver a polished, executive-facing dashboard experience—building the semantic/model layer, implementing KPI logic, and developing three dashboard screens aligned to approved wireframes and business priorities. This position is ideal for someone who excels at turning wireframes into production-ready Power BI reports, is confident with DAX and modeling best practices, and can operate effectively in iterative demo/feedback cycles while supporting QA/UAT and deployment readiness.

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (9 months)
Location: Remote (Offshore/India)
Start Date: Late March
Working Hours: Must support at least 50% overlap with US business hours (e.g., available through 2:00 PM ET)
Salary: Based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Review (AW) dashboard design guidelines with the AW Power BI Lead to ensure consistent UI/UX across screens.
• Build the Power BI semantic/reporting layer, including model relationships, measures, and report logic
• Develop three dashboard screens aligned to approved wireframes and business priorities
• Implement KPI measures/calculations in DAX, validating results against approved KPI logic and curated Databricks consumption-layer datasets
• Configure interactivity: filters, slicers, drill behavior, cross-visual interactions, and navigation patterns
• Apply report formatting and usability enhancements to deliver a polished executive dashboard experience
• Support performance tuning (query efficiency, model/report optimization, and visual responsiveness)
• Participate in iterative demos, incorporate feedback, and resolve defects during testing cycles (QA/UAT)
• Support deployment readiness activities as needed
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Analytics) or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, delivering executive-facing dashboards
• Strong experience creating highly visual, polished Power BI reports using primarily out-of-the-box capabilities
• Strong experience with Power BI modeling and DAX (measures, calculation patterns, performance considerations)
• Experience configuring advanced interactivity (filters/slicers, drill-down, cross-highlighting, navigation)
• Experience optimizing performance (model optimization, DAX/query efficiency, and visual performance)
• Ability to translate wireframes into production-ready dashboards with high attention to detail
• Comfortable working in iterative demo/feedback cycles and supporting defect fixes through QA/UAT
• Ability to work with 50%+ overlap with US ET hours (e.g., through 2 PM ET)
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience validating Power BI outputs against curated datasets in Databricks or similar lakehouse environments
• Prior experience supporting consulting clients and working with distributed/onshore-offshore teams
• Familiarity with design systems or dashboard style guidelines for enterprise reporting
