The PI Part Type Owner will coordinate new part introductions, manage wafer shipment logistics, identify yield issues, and ensure quality material delivery at Micron Technology.

As a Fab Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working with a team of other process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. This position will identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new process baseline qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.
Responsibilities and Tasks:• Coordinate New Part Introduction (NPI), including but not limited to Traveler creation, reticle ordering, Q-time setup, Germ process, SPC setup, startup process condition, and lead-lot plans.• Manage wafer shipment logistics between fabs (swap lots and fab-to-fab offloads)• Collaborate with YE, PI module owners and PEE to identify yield issues, drive down to root cause, and implement fixes• Work with QA to deliver qual material on time, with the correct BKM qual process, cell, and reticles.• Partner with PI and SIC teams to manage inline WIP, lot/line holds, and hot/screamer lots.• Audit and manage conversion alignment with alpha part type
Requirements:• Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in a technical field or equivalent experience is required.• 1 year or more engineering study, or semiconductor experience.• Structural and process integration knowledge with comprehension of each process area.• Understanding of Fab statistical process controls.• Understanding of basic device physics in deciphering parametric data.• Intermediate to advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office.• Being a proactive problem solver, communicating openly, and taking responsibility.
