The AWS Partner Program Specialist is a member of AHEAD’s Cloud Alliances team responsible for supporting and strengthening AHEAD’s strategic partnership with AWS. This role is focused on execution owning the day-to-day programmatic tasks that keep partner programs running smoothly. The position plays a critical role in managing operational workflows, reporting, compliance, and funding processes across multiple partner ecosystems.
Working closely with the AWS Partner Account Manager, the AWS Partner Program Specialist helps drive overall program success by managing core partner activities, supporting funding and incentives programs, maintaining accurate partner data and contributing to regular reporting on partnership health and performance. The role serves as a central point of coordination between internal stakeholders, AWS and external partners, ensuring partner processes are executed consistently and that AHEAD maximizes the value of its AWS partnership. Through strong operational discipline and cross-functional collaboration, this position helps support growth, alignment, and long-term success within one of AHEAD’s most strategic partnerships.
Duties/Responsibilities
- AWS Partnership Operations:
- Support operational execution across partner programs
- Manage deal registration, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
- Track and maintain partner certifications, ensuring program requirements are met
- Prepare and maintain partner admin and compliance reporting, including evolving partner metrics
- Assist in account mapping and sales alignment to strengthen the AWS partnership among field sellers
- Funding Management:
- Assist with submission of fund requests in AWS’ funding portal as well as funding claims process
- Coordinate the tracking and administration of partner funding and incentive programs
- Reporting & Program Health:
- Produce monthly partner scorecards and performance summaries
- Maintain accurate records across partner systems and internal trackers
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience supporting partner programs or operational functions.
- Required experience supporting partner programs, alliances or ecosystem operations (technology or SaaS preferred). Familiarity with AWS partner ecosystem. Strong operational discipline with attention to detail and follow-through. Experience with reporting, tracking, and managing multiple workflows simultaneously. Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (partnerships, finance, project management, sales). Ability to work with partial US time-zone overlaps.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience supporting technology partner programs, alliances or ecosystem operations
- Strong organizational and process-management skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Experience with reporting, tracking, and managing multiple workflows simultaneously
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (partnerships, finance, project management, sales)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external coordination
- Skills in business tools including Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.
- Preferred exposure to funding or incentive programs. Process improvement or automation experience in operational roles
- Preferred familiarity with AWS partner ecosystem
