Compliance Leader – India will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a best-in-class ethics and compliance program across the India market. This role is responsible for ensuring alignment with global compliance strategy while tailoring programs to local regulatory and risk environments.
Responsibilities- Lead development and execution of compliance framework in India, implement global policies, procedures, and controls and support key stakeholders in India, including business leadership
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks, including risk specific to India and oversee monitoring and compliance assessments.
- Implement country-specific processes to mitigate compliance risks. Advise business leaders and other stakeholders regarding compliance risks.
- Exercise persuasive and influencing skills to align business with compliance goals while supporting business strategy; develop creative options to mitigate compliance risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and support regulatory compliance initiatives, including in the areas of privacy, human rights and trade sanctions
- Deliver compliance training programs and targeted communications to various teams in India, promote ethical culture and speak-up environment
- Support investigations and remediation and engage with regulators and auditors, as needed.
- Support audits and remediation, enhance compliance processes continuously.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Accounting, Business, or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience in multinational environment with at least 6 years working with a multinational company in a compliance or regulatory position
- Strong knowledge of anti-corruption laws (FCPA, UK Bribery Act).
- Knowledge of commercial compliance areas, including privacy, human rights, trade.
