As Manager, R&D Software Quality (f/m/x), you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our software solutions that support clinical research worldwide. You will lead a high-performing Software Quality Engineering team and partner closely with R&D, Product, and Project Management to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Lead and manage a team of software quality engineers, including automation engineers and manual testers, supporting Agile software development initiatives
Plan, prioritize, and oversee quality engineering activities to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
Provide people leadership including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and professional development
Define, communicate, and execute test strategies across projects, ensuring alignment with business, regulatory, and quality requirements
Oversee test planning, execution, reporting, and traceability across system, integration, regression, and acceptance testing
Establish and continuously improve quality processes, standards, and testing methodologies, including automation and continuous integration practices
Evaluate, select, and implement testing tools, frameworks, and techniques aligned with organizational standards
Ensure integrity and completeness of testing and acceptance activities, including coordination of security and system testing
Partner with software development, product management, and project management teams to evaluate deliverables against acceptance criteria
Identify quality risks, audit findings, and process gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions
Provide expert guidance on quality management practices, testing standards, and regulatory expectations
Maintain and update organizational quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software quality engineering, including at least 3 years in a people management role
Proven experience leading and mentoring teams of manual and automation test engineers
Strong expertise in manual and automated testing tools, frameworks, and architectures
Experience working in Agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
Solid background in DevOps practices and cloud-based software solutions
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing techniques (functional, integration, system, regression)
Hands-on knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby, as well as SQL
Experience testing web APIs and/or mobile applications
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools; experience with Polarion is an advantage
Knowledge of FDA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 11 and cGxP, is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
