The Manager, Procurement will lead procurement processes, provide strategic advice, enhance systems using data analytics and technology, and collaborate with teams for effective procurement support.
[What the role is]
We are looking for a high performer to be part of IMDA's Procurement Unit to transform our policies, systems and processes. You will need to champion the use of data analytics and technology to drive innovation, automation and service delivery. You will also need to provide procurement support to the line divisions in order to fulfil IMDA’s business needs.[What you will be working on]
- Provide timely advice to the users to ensure that procurement activities are conducted in the most effective and efficient manner, and to provide guidance on contract management matters
- Review procurement submissions, including sourcing documents, recommendation papers, and any other related tasks
- Work as a team to drive projects to leverage on cutting-edge technologies such as Agentic AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Vibe Coding to enhance user experience knowledge and process
- Analyze procurement data to build dashboards with trends and forecasts, enabling informed decisions, demand aggregation and timely interventions where necessary
- Develop and maintain systems or programmes to increase user procurement knowledge
- Collaborate with our internal audit team to support audit reviews and propose improvements to policies, processes and systems
[What we are looking for]
- At least 5 years' experience in government procurement, with in-depth and hands-on knowledge of GeBIZ. Prior experience with Workday will be advantageous
- Able to multi-task and have demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management
- Resourceful and able to adapt to a fast-changing environment, meticulous, independent and a self-motivated team player
- Possess good communication, analytical, writing, problem-solving and project/contract management skills
- Relevant experience in implementing GenAI/Agentic AI/RPA projects
