In this role, you are the single point of contact for local leaders in a specific geographic or plant location. You manage the interactions between business stakeholders and sourcing teams and collaborate across the manufacturing, supply chain and the commercial business. You also manage the local implementation of regional and/or global projects.
How you will contribute
You will execute the daily procurement agenda by acting as the single point of contact for the procurement function at a site, in a country or country cluster, and will oversee the daily interaction with plants, supply chain, commercial teams, quality assurance, sourcing teams and suppliers. You will also deliver service-level targets by ensuring material availability, escalating when needed, and support business continuity planning implementation, activating when needed, support the execution of sourcing projects and execute sourcing/spot-buying or contracting activities as agreed with the accountable spend areas, and own the source-to-pay process compliance key indicators and take corrective action when necessary.

What you need to know about this position:
- Drive short and long-term sourcing strategies for Raw Materials and Packaging Materials in collaboration with the Regional/Global Spend Towers.
- You will ensure that the category strategies are developed and implemented in alignment with the needs and priorities of the India business
- Be the single point of contact for the procurement of raw and packaging materials for India BU.
- You will be responsible for addressing day-to-day supply challenges, if any, across owned and external manufacturing plants Deliver service-level targets by ensuring material availability, escalating when needed, and support business continuity planning implementation.
- Execute sourcing/spot-buying or contracting activities as agreed with the accountable spend areas, and own the source-to-pay process compliance key indicators and take corrective action when necessary.
- Drive breakthrough ideas for productivity which would involve working closely with cross-functional teams including Spend Towers, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain and suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationship and work towards measurement and improvement of supplier performance and collaboration in driving service, cost, innovation.
- Oversee daily interaction with plants, supply chain, commercial, quality assurance, legal, R&D, sourcing teams and suppliers.
- Support Regulatory & legal team to ensure 100% compliance for Raw and Packaging material sourcing as per applicable regulation.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts, fostering a culture of high performance, agility and accountability.
- Foster a positive team culture, driving performance, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Your leadership will be crucial in helping team members achieve their individual and collective goals.
- Identify and drive implementation of opportunities for simplification and automation to drive efficiencies across the P2P process for Direct Materials.

What extra ingredients you will bring:
- Procurement experience, ideally in an FMCG environment and having operated at a plant level
