TITLE: Content Engineer II

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Content Engineer II configures content solutions for P&C core systems processing from moderate to high complexity Agile stories and creates a conceptual design/architecture for configuration solutions using the Duck Creek toolset.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:
• Configures content solutions for moderate to high complexity Agile stories independently and across multiple domain or platform areas.
• Reads and interprets high complexity rules and requirements from standards organizations like ISO, NCCI, AAIS, etc.
• Creates a conceptual design/architecture for medium scale content solutions in collaboration with an architect.
• Debugs and resolves high complexity configuration bugs or issues working independently, ensuring root cause resolution without collateral damage.
• Writes automated unit and integration-level tests with direction from other team members.
• Follows development standards and effectively demonstrates content solutions to other developers in code reviews.
• Perform other related duties and activities as required.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor of Science degree; or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, preferred in Mathematics, Computer Information Sciences or Business.
• Total Work Experience: 10 years minimum, 15+ years (software development).
• Leadership Experience: 2 years minimum, 4 years preferred.
• Product Experience: 6 years minimum, 8+ years preferred.
• Domain Experience: 6 years minimum, 8+ years preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
• Expert in:
o XML/XSLT Document Design
o XPath Querying
o Insurance Domain Knowledge
o Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance Lines of Business (Commercial Auto, General Liability, etc.)
§ Expert in 2 Line of Business, proficient in at least 1 other line
• Utilize Content Development Standards & Best Practices
• Ability to estimate coding efforts
• Knowledge of Relational Database Designs & Queries
• Understanding of Agile Methodology
• Ability to use and/or configure:
o EXAMPLE Express®
o EXAMPLE Server®
o EXAMPLE TransACT®
o EXAMPLE Author®
o EXAMPLE Testing Tools and Utilities
• Knowledge of Duck Creek Policy or Billing or Claims or Engagement (AP) or Data Insights
o Expert in usage of at least one product, aware of the rest
• Uses analytical thinking to breakdown and work through situations or problems
• Ability to manage time to effectively meet deadlines
• Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance
• Proficient in:
o Technical Writing skills
o Source Code Management
o Writing high-performance code
o Ability to apply Root Cause Analysis during the development cycle
o Ability to use and/or configure:

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.  
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work
