Job Title: Lead Tester
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Test Manager / Test Lead to drive end-to-end testing efforts across global banking projects. The role combines test leadership, technical oversight, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on delivery. Candidates should bring strong experience in Commercial Banking/Trade Finance domains, and a deep understanding of testing strategy, automation, and quality engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce test strategies and governance for global projects and programs.
- Lead functional, integration, UAT, and OAT testing phases across geographically distributed teams.
- Manage test estimation, planning, risk assessment, and execution, ensuring quality delivery on time and budget.
- Provide technical direction for automation frameworks, tooling strategy, and performance testing.
- Oversee end-to-end test lifecycle including test data setup, environment coordination, and defect management.
- Standardize test processes across teams and drive continuous improvements and innovation (e.g., shift-left testing, DevOps integration).
- Act as a key technical point of contact across business, development, and QA stakeholders.
- Guide teams on best practices around test automation (Selenium, QTP/UFT, Java), API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and reporting.
- Drive quality KPIs and metrics, and communicate status, risks, and progress to senior leadership.
- Manage and mentor onshore and offshore QA teams, ensuring productivity and effective collaboration.
- Support test delivery across multiple concurrent projects varying in size and complexity.
Requirements:
- 14–18 years of experience in Software Testing, with at least 5+ years in a QA/Test Management or Technical Test Lead role.
- Domain expertise in Commercial Banking / Trade Finance is essential.
- Strong hands-on experience in test automation, API testing, performance testing, and test architecture.
- Skilled in tools such as Selenium, QTP/UFT, JIRA, Confluence, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies, with experience working in distributed team environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- ISTQB certification preferred; exposure to cloud-based testing environments is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple testing tracks and interface with business and technical stakeholders across time zones.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
