The Role
As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.
There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of experience as a Citrix L3 Engineer with hands-on expertise in Citrix XenApp 6.5 & 7., XenDesktop 7., Virtual Apps and Desktops, and NetScaler (Important).
- Strong knowledge in managing and troubleshooting Citrix farm operations, including session management, printer management, and application publishing/decommissioning.
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019), Windows 10, and core Windows services (Active Directory, RDS, DNS, DHCP).
- Hands-on experience with hypervisors such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, and XenServer, including their integration with Citrix infrastructure.
- Expertise in managing and troubleshooting NetScaler, including firmware upgrades, certificate updates, and load balancing virtual servers.
- Ability to perform Citrix and Windows patch management and automate recurring manual tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
- Experience handling P0, P1, and P2 tickets, providing quick resolutions to incidents, and performing root cause analysis.
- Strong knowledge of user profile management and experience with Ivanti User Workspace Manager.
- Familiarity with SCCM for deployment tasks and monitoring tools like SCOM, BEM, Zabbix, and Citrix Director.
- Proven ability to work on Incidents, Service Requests, Problem Management, and Change Management processes.
- Ability to participate in and lead incident calls, provide timely updates to stakeholders, and ensure SLAs and KPIs compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear documentation, including SOPs and change implementation plans.
- Willingness to work in rotational on-call support, including weekends, with a proactive approach to infrastructure improvement.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
- Experience managing large-scale Citrix environments with complex infrastructure and high user loads.
- In-depth knowledge of Citrix infrastructure optimization, including performance tuning and environment stability improvements.
- Exposure to ITIL frameworks and processes, ensuring best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong scripting skills for task automation (PowerShell, VBScript, or similar).
- Experience in creating and executing Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support L1/L2 engineers in resolving complex issues and improving operational efficiency.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple high-priority issues concurrently.
- Experience in providing input and technical guidance for Citrix environment deployments, upgrades, and patches.
