Role Overview: 
The role of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) is rapidly evolving as enterprises increasingly leverage them as strategic hubs for digital transformation, innovation, and global operations. Organizations are moving beyond traditional cost-arbitrage models toward building high-value, capability-driven GCCs that support enterprise-wide priorities. In this context, the Lead Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping Avasant’s thought leadership on GCC evolution, driving the research agenda, and delivering insights that influence CXO-level decision-making. This role requires a combination of market insight, analytical rigor, and executive engagement to translate industry trends into actionable perspectives. This market-facing role is a part of this expansion and includes elements of research agenda creation, research delivery, and market education.
Responsibilities:
  • Represent the firm and articulate a strong point of view on Global Capability Centers (GCCs) related domains across external conferences, boardroom presentations, industry events, and public platforms
  • Engage with senior leadership teams and CXOs across enterprises, service providers, and ecosystem stakeholders to advise on strategic priorities, operating models, and transformation initiatives
  • Own end-to-end delivery of a Research Product, including defining the research agenda and executing an annual calendar of research artefacts (market reports, white papers, and points of view), with significant direct content development
  • Conduct in-depth primary and secondary research through participation in executive briefings and industry discussions to generate insights and validate strategic hypotheses
  • Develop and institutionalize research methodologies, frameworks, and analytical models to generate high-quality, actionable, and repeatable insights
  • Provide strategic research and analytical support across macroeconomic trends, sectoral developments, competitive intelligence, and qualitative and quantitative assessments
  • Synthesize insights into clear, compelling narratives and perspectives on evolving industry themes, emerging trends, and transformation priorities
  • Support strategic advisory and consulting engagements through insight generation and problem-solving aligned to client objectives
  • Contribute to the development and scaling of new research offerings, with exposure to the full product lifecycle from ideation to market positioning

 Qualifications
 
  • MBA or equivalent from Tier 1 institutes. 4-6years of experience in research, strategy or consulting domains 
  • Candidates with significant experience with Big 4 or other strategy consulting firms. Previous work with leading tech industry analyst firms will be an advantage 
  • Strong aspiration to be known as prominent voice who has a significant impact on how industries apply technology to become future-ready
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both written and verbal (English) 
  • Significant exposure and interest in emerging technologies, with an inherent curiosity to analyse how they will impact the world 
  • Strong sense of ownership and adherence to quality and timelines 
  • Exceptional quantitative and data interpretation skills 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment across multiple time zones/ geographies
