The Lead QA role involves ensuring software quality by leading QA initiatives, optimizing testing approaches, and coordinating testing efforts related to DWH and database systems. Responsibilities include writing test plans, defect logging, mentoring QA associates, and communicating with stakeholders about the test status.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the developed software meets the client requirements and the business’ quality standards within the project release cycle and established processes. To lead QA technical initiatives in order to optimize the test approach and tools.
Job Description:
Mandatory Skills
- Experience in DWH/Database Testing
- Good Communication skills
- Understand Requirements and translate them into test cases

- Proficiency with SQL language and Data Warehousing principles

- UI and Automation testing (Selenium)
- Experience with testing SOAP / API projects
- Mentoring a team of 2 to 3 QA Associate
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies & JIRA
Key responsibilities:
- Define scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing.
- Write test plans, design test cases, develop test SQL scripts, test conditions, test procedures and expected results
- Actively participates in test planning by identifying testing requirements, scope and estimates
- Ensures optimal test coverage comprising of positive, negative and exception scenarios
- Logs defects with right priority, tracking them to closure and understanding the root cause for an issue
- Work on DWH / Database testing
- Perform all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Validate fixes and ensure follow through to all test cycles
- Investigate and recommend remediation strategies for data quality conditions, and process failures
- Communicate test status to internal project team and clients(s)
- Develop and contribute best practices and standards for a solution or across multiple medium/large scale projects/accounts
- Mentoring a team of 2 to 3 QA Associates
