Lead a small engineering team while coding hands-on to extend Unreal Engine’s Gauntlet automation framework. Build test harnesses, input simulation, AI-driven test agents, telemetry, reporting, and scalable test infrastructure. Partner with studios and technical leaders, communicate risks and tradeoffs, manage the platform roadmap, and reduce technical debt. The role requires deep Unreal Engine and C++ expertise, engine-level testing experience, team leadership, and software telemetry or instrumentation experience.

A specialist Lead Developer who extends Unreal Engine's Gauntlet framework and makes sure a green result actually means the build is good. You're deeply fluent in Unreal Engine internals and plugin architecture, leading a small team from the front, coding alongside them, not reviewing from a distance.

Required Skills
- Deep expertise in Unreal Engine and C++, with 5+ years of hands-on experience across engine versions.
- Direct experience with Unreal's Gauntlet automation framework, Unreal's Functional Testing framework, or a comparable engine-level test automation system.
- Proven experience leading a small engineering team, including code review, mentoring engineers as they ramp up on deep engine-level systems, and delivering value against a roadmap.
- Strong communication of complex technical solutions across audiences.
- Proactive leadership and reporting of engineering progress, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Experience building telemetry, instrumentation, or reporting systems for software.
- Experience navigating a partner studio's own priorities and roadmap alongside 2K's, balancing both without either side losing confidence.

- Experience with reinforcement-learning-driven or AI-based test agents (e.g., Unreal's Learning Agents).
- Experience scaling a testing framework across multiple concurrent game projects.
- Experience working embedded within or alongside an external studio/partner team.
