About Saks Technology:
Saks Technology teams are responsible for building and innovating the Saks online experience, consisting of different functional teams including Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, Stores, Technology Strategy and Enablement, Data and Machine Learning.
About this role:
- We are looking for a Lead with strong expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to lead the design and implementation of exceptional user interfaces for eCommerce client applications. In this role, you will drive the development of responsive and high-performing frontend and backend solutions, set technical standards, and mentor a team of developers to deliver state-of-the-art eCommerce solutions.
Responsibilities:
Development and Customization (front end + backend):
- Design, implement, and maintain customizations and solutions within Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
- Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, integrations with third-party systems, and custom SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) pipelines.
Platform Expertise:
- Manage and extend SFCC’s Business Manager configurations, custom objects, and system jobs.
- Implement and manage third-party integrations, including payment gateways, analytics, and CRM systems.
Code Quality and Performance:
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following SFCC best practices.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure platform stability and efficiency
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers to deliver seamless eCommerce solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments and releases.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering (Computer Science or Information Science preferred).
- Strong academic record, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 7-8 years of experience with at least 4 years as an SFCC developer.
- In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Proficiency in SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SFCC Business Manager.
- Proficient knowledge & hands-on experience using ISMLs, SCSS, Bootstrap, and setting up Business Manager Configuration
- Experience of using CSS pre-processors, CSS-in-JS (we use SASS and styled components).
- Commercial experience of using version control tooling (GIT) in a large development team performing.
- Debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and server-side development.
- Familiarity with tools like Jenkins/Circle CI, Jira, GitHub, AWS and familiarity with eCommerce frameworks is good to have.
