Overview
As a part of our latest transformation, we are searching for a Java Developer to join our rapidly growing Hyderabad Center of Excellence. You will be responsible for coding, testing, and implementing products in this role. Additional responsibilities include reviewing technical requirements and developing code in a variety of programming languages for a web-based enterprise application.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create code that meets design specifications, follows standards, is of high quality, and is easy to maintain
- Work with various teams in the organization to ensure appropriate project requirements are met
- Perform unit and peer testing to ensure that the product is fully tested
- Ensure that all work is properly documented
- Ability to carry out all policies and procedures as established by the team, department, or company at large
- Provide training, give project demos, and other presentations as needed
- Voluntary mentoring of others
- Writing and/or contributing to design documents
- Perform code reviews
- Provide input and proposals/recommendations for refactoring, process improvements, technologies, and tools
Requirements & Skills:
- 3-7 years of experience with Java development
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from four-year Technical School or equivalent professional experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-reliant and motivated self-starter
- Ability to reason logically and provide innovative solutions
- Demonstrated basic proficiency with the following: Java and JavaScript, Web Services, RDBMS DDL & SQL, Hibernate or other ORM, Spring Framework, CSS, JQuery, Code Generation, Authentication and Security Protocols, JUnit or another testing framework, Tomcat and other, Application Servers, Subversion/CVS, Continuous Integration, Predictable and Quality Delivery
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Successful completion of projects where programming languages, ideally Java, are put to use to solve problems.
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL Java or JavaScript
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (scrum)
- TeamConnect or other ELM product knowledge
