This is a remote position.
We are looking for a highly skilled Java Backend Developer with strong experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade backend applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native application development.
You will play a key role in designing scalable backend systems, building high-performance RESTful APIs, implementing modern software engineering practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust enterprise applications.
Backend Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale backend applications.
- Develop high-performance RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot.
- Build scalable, secure, and maintainable backend architectures.
- Develop reusable and modular application components following industry best practices.
- Design and implement distributed Microservices architectures.
- Develop event-driven services using messaging platforms.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of backend services.
- Optimize backend systems for performance and reliability.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
- Work extensively with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand business requirements.
- Convert functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Implement automated testing using Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams for seamless application deployments.
- Participate in production support and troubleshooting activities.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
- Adopt modern software development practices leveraging AI-enabled coding assistants.
- 4–6 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong experience designing enterprise backend systems.
- Hands-on expertise in Microservices architecture.
- Experience building secure and scalable REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
