As part of Nokia IT Infrastructure Networks, the WAN Service Tower manages globally the life cycle, delivery, quality and performance of the Wide Area Network, the Internet connections, network traffic management, and Cloud Access for Nokia offices and partners. The team manages the Overall Global IT network with functions of Service management, Operations, Design, and project management

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all solutions align with IT Infrastructure Architecture standards and comply with Nokia IT Security requirements. 

  • Deliver solution designs that meet Nokia’s business needs and can be effectively deployed and supported by service providers. 

  • Coordinate solution provisioning and deployment activities with the designated service providers. 

  • Interpret design requirements, develop the solution, review proposals from IT service providers, perform design acceptance, and verify quality after implementation. 

  • Collaborate closely with Nokia Service Owners, Cyber Security teams, business stakeholders, and IT Infrastructure Architects. 

  • Prepare demand requests for service providers and evaluate the technical feasibility and quality of their solution proposals. 

  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, business cases, and support the successful implementation of assigned projects.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent with Minimum of 10-15+ years’ experience in Network services, deep knowledge of and management in complex environment (Nokia IT network experience is paramount)

  • Experience in IT network implementation of router, switch, firewall, MPLS, Internet etc. Network technical skill in handling all such implementation is mandatory.

  • Nokia certified technical experts (i.e., NRS2 / SRA) will be preferred.

  • Previous experience of understanding and handling independently complex and multi-stream projects related to network and IT infra.

  • Capable of managing provider teams and  understand and develop business cases.

  • Eager and capable to work in a global multi-cultural team and to develop him/herself.
