About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT-Integration Engineer to support and lead the integration of Pixii’s energy storage gateway and cloud-based products with a wide range of external systems. These include energy meters, BMS (Battery Management Systems), EMS (Energy Management Systems), inverter systems, SCADA environments, and third-party APIs. The role requires strong technical expertise in communication protocols, system interoperability, and hands-on troubleshooting of real-time equipment.
The position is critical in ensuring seamless communication and interoperability for Pixii’s partners and customers, enhancing the reliability and usability of Pixii’s energy storage solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for Pixii integration activities across India.
- Lead, guide, or execute communication integrations with external systems, devices, and cloud platforms.
- Support bid proposal processes, assessing technical requirements for system integration and interoperability.
- Maintain strong understanding of Pixii’s communication interfaces, protocols, and product architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, partner teams) to ensure smooth deployment.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support, diagnosing and resolving integration-related issues.
- Prepare technical documentation, integration guidelines, and support materials for partners and customers.
- Conduct training and knowledge-transfer sessions for partners, installers, and internal teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma, B.Tech, or MSc in Electrical, Electronics, or IT Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with IT/communication integration of real-time systems or cloud APIs.
- Experience with AC/DC systems, inverters, PLCs, batteries, and/or SCADA systems (preferred but not mandatory).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- MQTT
- Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP
- REST APIs
- CANbus
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as:
- MQTT Explorer, Mosquitto, Postman, etc.
- Basic programming skills; Python proficiency is preferred.
- Experience working with IoT/IIoT systems, gateways, or edge devices.
- Ability to design or interpret integration architectures, including data flow, message mapping, and cloud connectivity.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and basic shell commands for device diagnostics.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, routing).
- Exposure to energy storage, renewable energy systems, or microgrid technologies is a plus.
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals; relevant training or certifications is an advantage.
