The Head of Government Relations for India will lead Zoom’s engagement with government stakeholders to advance the company’s policy and regulatory interests. You will focus on building trusted relationships with key ministries, regulatory bodies, and state governments to support Zoom’s growth and ensure compliance with India’s evolving policy landscape. You will require a deep understanding of India’s public policy environment and have a strategic mindset that identifies and executes on government engagements to drive business growth. You will thrive in a fast-moving and highly cross-functional internal environment.
About the Team
At Zoom, our Government Relations Team is a dynamic and strategic force dedicated to navigating the intricate intersection of policy, politics, and business. We are committed to fostering close relationships with government entities. This team plays a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's continued business success and positive impact on society.
What we’re looking for
- Have minimum of 8 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, within the technology or telecommunications sector.
- Have proven experience engaging with Indian government ministries, and other regulatory bodies.
- Be able to demonstrate solid understanding of India's policy environment at both federal and state levels, including emerging issues in AI, cybersecurity, and digital communications.
- Have exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and represent Zoom with professionalism and integrity.
- Be able to collaborate effectively across diverse teams, and comfortable with regular briefings to company executives and leaders.
- Have a Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in political science, law, public policy, economics, or international affairs.
- Have high emotional intelligence, resilience, and a sense of humor to thrive in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
