Head, Capability & Sales Training, Cons.PBU (based in Gurgaon)
The Head – Capability & Sales Training is responsible for designing, leading, and institutionalizing a future-ready sales capability framework across Goodyear India. The role drives consistent sales effectiveness, distributor capability, frontline productivity, and leadership readiness, directly impacting revenue growth, market share, and execution excellence.
1. Sales Capability Strategy
Define and own the Sales Capability & Training Strategy aligned to Goodyear’s commercial priorities (Consumer, Farm, SAG, etc.).
Identify current and future capability gaps across frontline sales, dealers, managers, and leaders.
2. Sales Training Design & Delivery
Design and deploy end-to-end sales training programs, including:
Frontline selling skills & value selling
Key account management
Distributor & channel capability
Negotiation, pricing, and margin management
Product & technical selling excellence
Ensure training is practical, field-oriented, and application-led, not classroom-only
3. Manager & Leader Enablement
Build capability of Sales Managers as Coaches, not just target managers.
Support succession readiness through leadership development interventions.
4. Channel Capability
Design scalable training frameworks for dealers, and channel partners.
Work closely with Sales & Marketing to improve channel productivity, compliance, and execution quality.
Leverage blended learning models for reach and consistency.
5. Learning Innovation & Digital Enablement
Implement digital learning platforms, micro-learning, and blended learning journeys.
Introduce modern learning methods (simulations, role plays, assessments, certification models).
Ensure content relevance, adoption, and continuous refresh.
6. Measurement & Business Impact
Define and track training effectiveness metrics (capability uplift, productivity, conversion, TPD, revenue impact)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Sales capability readiness index
Improvement in frontline productivity & execution metrics
Training ROI and post-training application score
