🚀Your Mission
We are looking for someone to lead the most important function at Aftershoot, AI/Machine Learning. Your goal would be to create the vision & roadmap to ensure Aftershoot continues to lead with cutting edge technology. You will lead a team of researchers and engineers who are the backbone of our product & a blessing for our customers. You will work on frameworks & processes to improve image processing. You will work with the leadership to craft plans & goals for Aftershoot.
🎯What You Will Be Doing
Define the AI roadmap and architectural direction across all computer vision–driven product lines.
Lead end-to-end development of CV models—from research, dataset design, and training to evaluation and deployment.
Drive optimisation of deep learning models for edge environments through quantization, pruning, and distillation.
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing ML research and engineering team.
Partner with Product and Engineering to translate AI advancements into user-facing features and workflows.
Establish technical standards, experimentation frameworks, and model quality benchmarks across the organisation.
💪What We’re Looking For
10+ years of deep experience in Machine Learning, with a strong foundation in Computer Vision.
2–4 years of hands-on experience in Image Processing, algorithms, and applied techniques.
Experience building and deploying AI systems for Edge / mobile / real-time use cases.
Strong background in designing scalable ML architectures, pipelines, and model optimisation workflows.
Proven history of leading teams, mentoring engineers, and setting technical direction.
Prior experience in startups (fast, iterative environments where you ship fast and often).
Bonus Points:
Experienced with 3D computer vision, video processing, and text-to-video, image-to-video generation.
Experienced working with highly skewed and imbalanced data.
A genuine passion for photography or visual creativity (huge bonus).
