Oracle Database & IO Performance Optimization (BFSI Scale)
• Own performance optimization for SQL heavy billing and revenue processes operating at bank grade transaction volumes.
• Drive Oracle Database optimizations including:
o SQL tuning and execution plan stabilization
o Indexing and composite indexing strategies
o Large table partitioning (range/hash/list) for billing events and transactional data
o IO reduction for billing cycles, invoicing, and reconciliation jobs
• Partner with DBAs to analyze AWR/ASH reports, identify bottlenecks, and prevent performance regressions in peak financial cycles (EOD/EOM).
________________________________________
Java & Application Layer Optimization
• Lead optimization of Java based BRM extensions and integration services to:
o Reduce database round trips
o Improve throughput and latency for payment and billing flows
o Introduce caching, batching, and event driven processing where appropriate
